Baby Shower Recipes

2 cups chilled orange juice
2 cups chilled lemonade juice
2 cups of sugar
2 cups cold water
4 quarts chilled ginger ale

combine fruit juices, sugar and water in large punch bowl - stir till sugar dissolves. Just before serving pour ginger ale down side of bowl, stir gently. Add lemon and orange slices for pizazz!

1 cup thin sliced zucchini
1 cup thin sliced yellow squash
1 cup fresh snap peas
1/2 cup thin sliced green onions
1 cup thin sliced carrots
1/2 cup chopped sweet red pepper
1 cup fresh green beans cut in large pieces
1 small can of sliced olives (drain)
1 small can of corn

Dressing: 8 tablespoons of oil (your choice) olive or veggie, 1 heaping Tsp of minced garlic, 1 Tbsp minced fresh parsley, 2 tsp sugar, 4 tsp lemon juice, 1 Tbs cider vinegar, dash of salt, pepper and dill weed.

In large pan bring 4-5 inches of water to a full boil. Add beans, peas and carrots. cook for 5 minutes, drain then rinse in cool water. Put zucchini, squash, corn, red pepper, onions and olives in a bowl.
In a jar with tight fitting lid add oil, vinegar, sugar, lemon juice, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper and dill weed and shake well! Pour over veggie mixture and toss to coat. Refrigerate about an hour. You can put this into a pretty display dish or casserole dish of some sort for serving at the party!

1/2 Tsp garlic powder
1 Tsp Dill weed
1 package ranch flavored mix
3/4 Cup vegetable oil
2 packages oyster crackers
nuts of your choice

In a large bowl add: 3 packages (24oz each) of chocolate chips, 2 sticks of butter, 11 oz of marshmallow cream - buy 2 jars - use all of one and a big glop out of the other. 2 tsps of vanilla and 2 cups of walnuts (optional) if you like more walnuts add more to your desire. Set aside.

In a Pan bring to a boil: 4 1/2 cups of sugar and 1 large can of evaporated milk. Boil on medium heat 8-9 minutes - if its damp go a few minutes longer. Wait till its at a full rolling boil till you start timing yourself and stir occasionally. Then pour this mixture into your bowl of ingredients you set aside earlier - mix it all up well and pour into a buttered pan and store in the fridge. You can cut it up later and serve at the party! Everyone will love you for it!

1 c. Light corn syrup
1/2 c. Sugar
1 sm. Jello; any flavor (get pink or blue for baby)
1/2 lb. Salted peanuts; coarsely chopped
9 c. Popped popcorn

Bring syrup and sugar to a boil. Remove from heat and add Jell-O Gelatin, stirring until dissolved. Add a few drops of blue or red food coloring to make pink or blue for baby. Add peanuts and pour over popcorn, mixing well. Quickly form into 1 1/2 balls. Makes about 4 dozen.

1 package of white cake mix
1 3oz package of blackberry or grape flavored jello
1 container of whipped topping

Make cake as directed on package and bake in a 13x9 inch pan then cool for 15 minutes. Add a cup of boiling water to jello mixture and dissolve then add 1/2 cup cool water. Poke cake with fork at 1/2 inch intervals then pour over all of jello mixture. Chill in fridge for 3 or 4 hours and top with whipped topping! A wonderful and inexpensive cake everyone will absolutely love!
